Designed to meet the needs of non-profit organizations that support member companies in the areas of trade or standards management.
Trade organizations are representative of a member community of similar business interests, usually with a focus on representing industry in regulatory and legislative matters; and involved in research, providing education, and organizing and executing industry conferences and seminars.
Standards organizations develop or manage standards, taxonomies or other requirements as determined by their members, in support of the global supply chain and business needs; are involved in the business process. (Examples include GS1 Member Organizations, RosettaNet, Chemical Industry Data Exchange (CIDX),
American Petroleum Institute (API), International Music Products Association (NAMM) and the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).
